BIRCH PROJECT – A NEW MODEL OF AGED CARE DELIVERY FOR RDHS

The Birch Project was born many months ago beginning with a concept to create a “Model of Aged Care” specific to Robinvale District Health Services (RDHS).

Consultants were engaged from Dementia Australia to assist the newly formed “leadership” group to develop the model of care and roll out projects to demonstrate our commitment to this concept.

Five projects in total were approved for progress and these projects were presented to Senior Management, Board of Management members, other staff, interested parties and residents of the Riverside Campus.

WOW – the projects are all of a high standard and show the dedication and commitment of the leadership group. Whilst initially the projects commenced at Riverside Hostel, the plan is to engage with all our 3 residential sites.

Many thanks to the leadership team – your efforts are very much appreciated and the model of care represents the values and principles of RDHS – RESPECT, VALUES, CHOICE, DIGNITY & INDEPENDENCE.

The project will be presented to the community of Manangatang on Wednesday 5th December 2018 at 12.00pm.
