REGISTERED UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT OF NURSING- (RUSON)

An exciting opportunity exists for a Registered Undergraduate Student of Nursing (RUSON) who is empathetic, enthusiastic and compassionate, to join our professional clinical team.

You will have the opportunity to work alongside a multidisciplinary health care team and support the nursing team in the delivery of safe, effective care and assist Registered Nurses to provide aspects of patient care under their direct supervision. The RUSON works under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse at all times, within their level of education and assessed competencies. In this role you will enjoy great support from a team of caregivers who consistently provide person centred care through effective leadership and evidence based practice.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Currently enrolled to undertake undergraduate nursing study and who at commencement, has successfully completed at least 12 months of the Bachelor of Nursing Degree, the Nursing and Midwifery Double degree, or the Master of Nursing (that will lead to registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse)
  • Be able to provide a transcript of evidence of successful completion of first-year undergraduate Bachelor of Nursing/Masters of Nursing qualification from an Australian University.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills; including relationship building, team cooperation, and conflict resolution.
  • Have demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner with a wide range of people, including co-workers, health professionals, residents, patients and family members
