Early Years Coordinator

We are looking for a team player who is committed to culturally and developmentally appropriate early childhood programs. You will also:

Your key priorities will be:

  • Lead a cohesive team committed to the delivery of high quality, sustainable services based around family-centered and strength based approaches
  • Be a resource to support Educators and facilitate their professional development.
  • Maintain close networks with local services
  • Develop effective networks with government agencies, schools, finding bodies and other Early years services.
  • Ensure the safety, compliance and regulatory compliance of the range of programs
  • be an experienced mentor and facilitator
  • be familiar with working in a diverse and complex community
  • have strong verbal and written communication skills

ESSENTIAL

  • Minimum Diploma of Children’s Services
  • Proven ability to lead, develop and supervise staff
  • OHS knowledge and understanding as it applies to ECEC services
  • Knowledge of the child care industry, Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Framework (NQF) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations
  • Knowledge of current issues in Children’s Services
  • Knowledge and understanding of the rural and regional context in which these programs operate
  • Drive and commitment
  • Driver’s license
  • Current working with children check
  • Current first aid HLTAID004 or HLTAID012

DESIRABLE

  • Cultural awareness
  • An analytical mind with problem solving skills
  • Supervisor’s certificate or eligibility to apply for one
