RDHS DIABETES EDUCATION GROUP

RDHS is excited to announce the formation of a brand new diabetes education group commencing on Monday 18th April 2016.

This group is aimed at anyone who has recently been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and their partners /cares.

The diabetes education group hopes to provide people with all the important information that they need to be aware of about their diabetes and how to manage their condition properly, as well as dispel some common myths.

Each month RDHS will hold session consisting of initial diabetes education for the newly diagnosed, with a follow up session three months later where their improvements can be tracked.  The group is currently targeting individuals diagnosed with Type 2 within the last six months but welcomes anyone with Type 2 diabetes or their families to attend.

The first education evening will be held on Monday, 18th April 2016, at 5.30pm (2 hours) and run every third Monday of the month. It will be filled with valuable information presented by RDHS Diabetes educator, Dietitians and Podiatrist.
