Private Health Insurance

RDHS will cover any health insurance excess up to $500 on your Behalf.  Excess amounts greater than $500 will be negotiated on a case by case basis.

As a Private Patient with appropriate hospital cover you will have no out-of-pocket expenses for your hospital stay and procedures ( e.g. hospital accommodation, no gap fee, pathology, radiology)

As a Private Patient you will receive the following complimentary services:

• Daily Newspaper
• Beverages ( on request and as authorised by nurse in charge)
• Increased Menu items

The revenue and savings generated from the use of private health insurance enable the Health Service to maintain and improve existing services as well as to develop new initiatives for this community.
